I only received 2 in the original order and was supposed to receive 3. I was sent another 3, but all 3 were broken. They would not retract after the first extension. I took one apart. The axel that retains the coil spring was broken.

Really like these pulleys and chains.Already using them to help my Mom be able to hang her clothes outside to dry.She couldn't hardly reach the nails we have up on our porch.She is 95 and has a hard time reaching up.I think they are really nice and durable.
